Update Hangers

There are 3 different update commands in the MEP Hanger ribbon. The most recently used one will always appear at the top and others can be accessed through a drop-down.

Update commands work on both native Revit MEP elements (Ducts, Pipes, Cable Trays, Conduits) and MEP Fabrication Parts.

To update hangers or supports in your project, select the MEP elements and hit one of the update commands. All hangers and supports on the selected elements will be updated. MEP elements of different categories can be updated at once.

Update Size

This command updates sizes, rod lengths (or unistrut lengths, if itʼs a unistrut frame support), # and ## parameter values of inserted hangers and supports. This update command is different from the others because it wonʼt move the inserted hangers or supports back to their original position if they were manually moved.

For the 'Update Size' command to work, hangers must stay under (or next to, if itʼs a wall hanger) the same structure that they originally connected to.

Update Elements

Updates sizes, rod lengths (or unistrut lengths, if itʼs a unistrut frame support), # and ## parameter values of inserted hangers and supports, and moves them according to the Spacing settings of the applied configuration. If individual changes to the applied configuration were made using the 'Modify' command, 'Update Elements' will work according to these changes.

Original Config

Updates sizes, rod lengths (or unistrut lengths, if itʼs a unistrut frame support), # and ## parameter values of inserted hangers and supports and moves them according to the current settings of the relevant configurations (ignoring changes made with the 'Modify' command).
