Framing in Groups

Framing in Groups – features for framing walls in groups.

Note: please make changes to frames in groups, which are not mirrored.

Note: Before using these features, please go to Framing Configuration → Common Settings → Modify Settings → switch off Use Short Update by Modify Framing option.

Create Group

Create Group – creates group from selected walls. Frames in walls will be automatically included in group.

Note: make changes to frames in groups, which are not mirrored.

The group can be copied or mirrored multiple times in the project. You can now frame walls in the group with Frame Wall and all groups will be updated.

Add Walls to Group

Add Walls to Group – adds walls to selected group with frames.

Usually used after making changes to frame. In order to modify frame, remove wall from group by selecting Remove Wall from Group → make changes to frame → Add Walls to Group → select a group with modified frame.

Example, let's add this frame to selected group:

Result – selected wall is added to the group together with a frame:

Remove Wall from Group

Remove Wall from Group – removes wall together with frame from selected group. Usually used before making modifications to frame.

Example, let's modify one frame. First, remove it from group with Remove Wall from Group:

Now wall with frame is removed from the group. You can modify it using Modify Frame, or other modification features:

Add wall to the group with Add Walls to Group:

Show Mirrored Groups

Show Mirrored Groups – selects mirrored groups, so you can see where they are. This informs you that you cannot modify frames in these groups. Find group which is not mirrored and make changes to it. Mirrored groups will be automatically updated.

Select any group and the function will show the ones which were mirrored:

Show not Mirrored Groups

Show not Mirrored Groups – selects not mirrored groups, so you can see where they are. This informs you that you can modify frames in these groups.
